What would you like to see in our future world?

I shot and produced this video in March for the team at Pawprint - an Edinburgh based eco-startup who are developing an app that will empower the individual to fight climate chang.

Pawprint is on a mission to empower people to fight climate change. Through an app, Pawprint will allow you to calculate your carbon footprint, and then offer you personalised challen...

It has been nice to be able to undertake some photography related site work (suitable precautions taken and risk assessments approved) over the past few days.

The weather has been beautiful! I can appreciate that site visits on essential infrastructure does some with their own complications for my clients during these times, so i'm especially grateful for the chance to work on these projects when they come a...

The birds eye view - incense production outside Hanoi, Vietnam.

It's quite an effort to cut my 2000+ images from this trip down to around 200 of my best, however the terrible weather of late has helped my resolve! :) I'm always drawn to the shapes of the land from an aerial perspective, and I loved the patterns these workers created as they busied themselves amongst the task, processing the drying bundles of...

Light and dark - it almost embodies the true essence of the Yin yoga practice. A shot from my recent photo-shoot with Edinburgh yoga teacher Paula Radziszewska. Low-key lighting adds a whole new level of energy to an image, and I loved this one!

Looking forward to another creative session at the end of the month! ☺

A few images from an LVIA shoot I did last week on the summit of a Scottish Munro. I had been waiting for over five weeks for conditions to be suitable, and this was a tiny window, however it proved a good one! As an experienced mountain walker, I'm always happy to conduct remote work, providing there's an agreed emergency action plan and risk assessment in place. In this instance SNH were insisting to my c...

There are so many styles and approaches to portraiture. For me, both the beauty and the challenge, is capturing a moment that is natural and true. So my approach is to stand off and wait, using a lens with a longer focal length to retain some degree of anonymity amongst the picture.

I shot this worker harvesting incense sticks on the outskirts of Hanoi during a recent trip to Vietnam. Whilst the colours of t...

The floating fishing villages of Cat Ba, Vietnam. I've been enjoying catching up with the edit's from this trip - the gridded lines caught my attention here, and when looking down from my drone I was struck by the patterns and shapes of these anchored platforms. The locals have lived on these floating islands for hundreds of years, fishing the waters and living their daily lives.

It also reminded me of the g...

Faced a bit of a windswept LVIA shoot in the Cairngorm's yesterday; it was lovely to be back out in the mountains, even if the winter conditions prove a bit of a challenge for my fingers...that sunset on the drive home made it all worthwhile though - what a beaut!

One of the challenges I love most about photography, is capturing a moment that tells a story. This shot is from my recent trip to Vietnam, and is taken from an incense village on the outskirts of Hanoi. The entire village is a production platform for incense, and I walked the streets for several hours in total admiration of the skills, dedication and method required to create these striking products. The v...

The winter time can be pretty special for sunsets, and I enjoyed this one in Wales last week! My trip south finished off with a little shoot in Yorkshire yesterday and now i'm back in Edinburgh to catch up with the edits. #sunset #landscapephotography #wales #goldenhour
