PERSONAL PROJECTS

January 2019: Thailand

Shot with my Sony A7RIII and Canon 50mm f1.2L lens.

A selection of my favourite travel photographs from this trip. I love capturing natural portraits, and the local children in Koh Lipe were particularly photogenic. This was my first visit to Thailand, and I will certainly be returning. This was one of the first times i've seen a country really push environmental conservation, from the roots up.

A short travel video I produced can be found here, and my travel blog will follow soon.

March 2018: Nepal

Shot with my Canon 6D Mk1, Canon 50mm f1.2L lens and Canon 70-200mm f4L lens.

Trekking in Nepal has always been a dream of mine. In March my girlfriend and I visited the Everest region of the Himalayas, and walked the Gokyo route over 13 days. The weather was mixed, and the altitude hurt, but we were rewarded with some increadible views and experiences. The people of Nepal really made this trip so special, and I was continually touched by their kindness and happiness. I hope to return at some point to film their lives in this really beautiful part of the world.

This is a selection of my favourite shots from the trip, my full travel blog can be found here.

November 2017: Cambodia

Shot with my Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 85mm f1.2L lens and Canon 16-35mm f2.8L lens.

Travelling is a huge part of my life and you don't have to ask me twice to head out on an adventure into the wilderness with my camera, a tent and some food! I take pictures to tell a story and to inspire people to find their own adventure in our world, and love working with natural light, photographing people in their natural environment just doing what they do.

Cambodia has had it's troubled past, however it is emerging slowly from those shadows. The people we met made this trip so special. Poverty was everywhere, however this never stopped them smiling. Our trip routed from Phnom Penh south to Kampot, before routing north to Siem Reap and then up to Virachey National Park. This album is from a recent trip to Cambodia, where we experienced the life, way off the beaten track.
