Catching the surf, drone style!
It's always nice when you can build upon your knowledge base, and this was a great chance to tie in my previous experience as a hydrographic surveyor with that of my current position as an aerial photographer.
This is an elevation dataset of Gullane beach in East Lothian that I surveyed for an ecology team. The survey was carried out by drone in around 15 minutes, with the aerial photographs processed and then overlain onto digital surface model data to create a 3D model.
Looks very much like a multibeam survey :)
